You send the image and the specification
Highest resolution available, finished size, rolled or stretched, and any colour reference you need us to match.
- Within 1 day
We screen it and quote
We check the image for resolution and for copyright. If it infringes a living artist's rights we decline and tell you why. Price and dates come back the same day or the next.
- Day 1
We assign a painter by subject
Portrait, pet, landscape, still life, heavy texture — our painters have different strengths. We assign by what the piece needs, not by who is free.
- Day 1–2
You approve a digital proof
Composition, crop and size, confirmed before any paint is used.
- 3–5 days
Painting
Built in layers. The painter number, layer count and date are recorded on the back of the canvas.

Colour review and photograph
Checked against the approved proof under consistent light, photographed, and sent to you. Nothing ships before you have seen it.

Cured, packed, shipped
Stretched pieces dispatch immediately. Rolled pieces are cured, interleaved with glassine and rolled face-out on a wide core.
What we need from you
- The image at the highest resolution you have. A phone photo is usually fine; a screenshot usually is not.
- Finished size in centimetres or inches.
- Rolled or stretched, and the stretcher depth if stretched.
- Any colour you need matched — a swatch, a hex value, or a physical sample.
- Confirmation that you hold the rights to the image.
What we will not do
- Copy a living artist's work without a licence. This protects you more than it protects us — takedowns land on the seller, not the studio.
- Promise that a screen colour, a printed colour and a pigment colour will be identical. For colour-critical projects, order a physical sample first.
- Substitute a different painter on a reorder without telling you.
Questions buyers ask
What resolution does my image need to be?
For a 60 × 80 cm painting, anything above about 1500 pixels on the long edge is comfortable. We will tell you at quotation if an image is too small before you pay for anything.
Can you change things in the photograph?
Yes — remove a background, change a colour, combine two photographs, add or remove a subject. Tell us at quotation and it goes into the proof.
Do you keep my images?
Reference material is archived against the order so reorders match. It is not shown to other clients and not used in our own marketing without your written permission.
Can you ship directly to my customer?
Yes. Blind shipping with no Velaturo branding on the outer packaging, and your documents inside.
