Non-standard sizes are standard for us. Price is calculated on area, so an unusual dimension costs no more than the nearest conventional one.

Why acrylic
Our painters are academy-trained in oil painting and work in acrylic by choice. We build the image in glazes and finish with a gloss medium, so the surface has the depth of traditional easel painting rather than the flatness of a print.
Acrylic is not a cheaper substitute — it is a different set of trade-offs, and for trade work they are usually the better ones. It does not yellow. It carries no solvent odour, which matters on install in an occupied hotel or clinic. It tolerates cleaning. And it cures in days rather than weeks, so a rolled order does not sit waiting.
If a project specifies genuine oil, tell us at quotation. We will price it as oil and give you the real lead time, which is considerably longer.

These are painting days after proof approval. Your quotation carries an exact date rather than a range.
Why rolling is done the way it is
A canvas rolled before the paint has cured cracks along the curve of the roll, and the damage usually appears weeks later when the piece is stretched at the far end — in someone else's hands, with no way to establish where it happened. Three things prevent it, and you are entitled to ask any supplier whether they do them: cure before rolling; interleave with glassine rather than plastic film, which can bond to the surface in a hot container; and roll face-out on a wide core, so the paint layer is stretched rather than compressed.
Packing
Rolled work travels in a rigid tube with end caps and glassine between layers. Stretched work travels with corner protection in a fitted carton. Blind shipping with your own label is available on any order.
What we cannot promise
A colour on a screen, a colour in print and a colour in pigment are three different things, and no studio can make them identical. Where colour is critical, order one physical sample and approve the real object before the batch.

What canvas do you use?
Primed cotton as standard, linen on request. Tell us at quotation which you want specified.
Is this oil paint or acrylic?
Acrylic, hand-applied and built up in glazes with a gloss finish. Our painters are trained in oil painting and work in acrylic by choice — it does not yellow, carries no solvent odour and tolerates cleaning. If a project specifies genuine oil we will quote it as oil, with the longer lead time that requires.
What stretcher depths are available?
0.75 inch, 1.5 inch and 2 inch. Deeper wraps need a wider unpainted margin, so confirm before painting.
Can you supply a written material specification?
Yes, at quotation. Material is a contract line and we state it precisely.
How should rolled canvas be stored on arrival?
Unroll within a few days, lay flat or stretch. Do not leave it tubed in a hot space for months.
