A team, not a production line
Our founders trained from 1993 and painted for established masters before opening their own studio in 2002. The team has grown since then, and the core of it has painted side by side ever since.
Every painting is paid to the painter who made it. So on a reorder, we always know whose hand to go back to.

Most paintings take 7 to 14 days. If you have a hard deadline, tell us and we'll plan the work around it. If you don't, we take the time the painting needs.

A few pieces is enough to start. Each one is a finished original, painted by the painter who would paint your range.
Approve before it ships
A proof before painting, and a photo of every finished piece. If anything should change, the painter reworks it first.
Reorder when it sells
The same painter picks it up, working from the approved photo.

- Send a proof before painting and a photo of every piece before it ships
- Put a date on every quote, and tell you early if anything puts it at risk
- Keep a design developed for you exclusive to you, in writing
- Send the reorder to the painter who painted the first

- Print underneath a painting, on one piece or five hundred
- Copy a living artist's work without a license
- Rush a painting to meet a date you didn't need
- Promise a color on screen will match pigment exactly. For color-critical work, order a sample first
- Win orders by cutting corners on the painting

What is the minimum order?
One piece. A single painting goes through the same proof and photo approval as a large order.
How long does an order take?
Most paintings take 7 to 14 days. If you have a hard deadline, tell us when you ask for a quote and we'll plan around it.
Can I start with a small order?
Yes. Most new clients start with a trial order of a few pieces. You approve a photograph of every piece before it ships, and if anything should change the painter reworks it first.
Can you ship straight to my customer?
Yes. We ship blind, with no Velaturo branding on the box or the invoice.
Is it oil or acrylic?
Acrylic, applied by hand and built up in layers with a gloss finish. It has no solvent odor and is far less prone to yellowing than oil.
What if a painting arrives damaged?
Send us photographs of the outer packaging and of the piece within 14 days of delivery. We send a replacement. You don't need to return the damaged piece or deal with the carrier — where the carrier is at fault, we take the claim up with them ourselves.
